Land and Sea pairing was great!
"
We had taken the Inner Passage cruise in Alaska many years ago and always regretted not having gone to the interior, so this time we took the 7 day land tour before getting aboard the Grand Princess for the 7 day cruise back to Vancouver. The weather for the first few days was not good, with high winds and clouds that prevented seeing much of the glaciers, in fact the ship had to turn around before getting to glacier bay due to the very high winds, so many on the cruise were quite disappointed and we were glad we had already seen glaciers on the trip.

We had a great time on our 12 day Alaska Cruisetour in June 2024.We had 1 night in the Captain Cook hotel in Anchorage, 2 nights in the McKinley Princess Lodge, 2 nights in the Denali Princess Lodge and an 8 hour train ride from Denali to Whittier to board the Grand Princess southbound to Vancouver.Overall it was an outstanding trip. The service and communication from Princess was good.

Our first sea cruise in 14 years, a 14 day Vancouver to Whittier Alaska and back.Opted for Deck 5 outside cabin which was clean, tidy and with sufficient storage space for the cruise duration. Paid for Princess Premier package but in retrospect the Princess Plus would have been sufficient as neither of us could sustain 15 alcohol drinks per day with the Premier. The ship was immaculate,

Just sailed Alaska again with Princess. It was greatMy first time on the Grand was 1999. She's aged a bit (haven't we all), but still a smooth sail.Despite the many reviews and comments about her being old and worn down, I had a great time. The ship was clean, the food was great, the staff was 10 Stars out of 5.As a smoker, the smoking area on 15 was beyond what I had read and

We actually booked a 14 day Alaska cruise, only to find out, the same cruise can be booked as two 7 day cruises. The first lesson learned, because it was two 7 day cruises, EVERYTHING repeated the second week, food, entertainment, activities, you name it. It was like being in the movie ground hogs day!Upon boarding the Grand, we were located on deck 5 with an unobstructed window view, right

This was the Grand's first cruise to Alaska for the season. Unfortunately, the heating system for the public areas wasn't working at all, most notably in the Horizon Court Buffet, Vista Lounge, and Theater. We have completed four cruises to Alaska and two cruises to Antarctica, so we knew what to expect. We have never been uncomfortable inside the ship during a cold weather cruise. The crew's

This was my second cruise. I went once on a 3 day cruise many years ago. This time it was a long cruise with my dad. It was excellent. There were lots of activities for all interests. The cruise director and staff (Sophie Gideon, Nick and Frenchie) were amazing and added some new fun activities such as a mystery murder series. Some passengers brought up Anzac day was to occur during the cruise and

Cabin obstructed view + Grand Princess. Obstructed. A fantastic cabin. Close to the lift in midship. Nice outlook, good light with minimal obstructions outside. Would highly recommend. Sometimes a little noise from Crooners Bar above but not enough to worry about. Same internal size as our friends in balcony cabin. Very good size. Cruise was perfect. Great itinerary across the Pacific.

I’ve already done the survey that they send you but realised after I sent it that I hadn’t commented on the born to dance show that I went to see while I was on the cruise . It was absolutely spectacular, I still can’t believe how good it was . I’ve been to watch shows all over including west end and broadway and this was way up there with the best . The singers and dancers were fabulous . Food

First Time Cruiser

Compared to previous Princess cruises, this was definitely a step down in service, food, entertainment. The ambiance of cruising was not there. No dress code for the MDR. Food service slow… MDR was akin to eating at the local diner. The staff did not make the experience ‘special’. Limited engagement with the waitstaff..more of a serve and get it over with vibe. Orders were sometimes

This is our 4th time on Grand Princess, and it is still a very nice ship, in spite of being their oldest. The Princess food experience remains very good, but they slip up in a few areas that would not have happened 5 years ago. Having also cruised with P&O and Cunard in the last 2 years, Princess are way ahead. Our cabin has the usual issues of an older ship, very poor ergonomics, and very
