US PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense pre-orders
UK PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense pre-orders
PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller pre-orders are technically live right now - but the popularity of the item has seen stock almost completely disappear, sadly.
However, that's not to say we won't see any future restocks at PlayStation Direct, or listings pop up at different retailers - after all, it is one of the two Anniversary items that other retailers will be able to sell. And given that Thursday this week, October 10, makes the second wave of wider PS5 Pro pre-orders where retailers can begin offering the upgraded console, we're quietly holding out hope that the day might bring retailers offering a second wave of Anniversary DualSense stock.
While we have our fingers crossed, we're here to help and provide the best places to try and get lucky with the controller. It's likely to be one of the most sought-after items in this second wave once again, along with the PS5 Slim 30th Anniversary Digital Edition pre-orders and wider PlayStation 30th Anniversary pre-orders, while knowing where to buy a PS5 disc drive is also proving a little tricky at the moment.
Anyway, let's cut to it, here are all the best places to try and locate the PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller right now.
PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller: cut to the chase
- Price: $79.99 / £69.99
- Pre-order dates: initially September 26; October 10 (other retailers for PS5 Pro, and 30th Anniversary PS5 Slim bundle)
- Release date: November 21
Where to buy the PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller in the US
$79.99 at PlayStation Direct (out of stock)
Sadly, the controller is no longer available at PlayStation Direct. There's no word on any restocks either, unfortunately, so all we can recommend is regular checking of this page.
$79.99 at Amazon (out of stock)
While we did see action on Amazon's DualSense 30th Anniversary controller page, it's now 'currently unavailable' again, which means we'll have to wait and see if there are any restocks.
$79 at Walmart (out of stock)
Walmart did have some stock available and it was a dollar cheaper than anywhere else, coming in at $79. However, it was also among the fastest to sell out as a result. Still worth keeping an eye on tonight just in case more stock crops up.
$79.99 at Best Buy (out of stock)
Best Buy did have some stock on pre-order day, retailing at $79.99. However, it appears to have completely sold out; but the listing page says 'Coming Soon' rather than anything about the DualSense being flat-out unavailable. Color us intrigued...

$79.99 at Target (out of stock)
Target came a bit late with its pre-orders but did get in on the action. It's gone now by the looks of it, though we have seen the pre-order button be live at times so it's worth checking out.

$79 at GameStop (out of stock)
Pre-orders were also available at GameStop, though sold out quickly. The controller is now listed as "Currently Unavailable" but you can keep an eye on the page for further updates.
Where to buy the PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller in the UK
£69.99 at PlayStation Direct (out of stock)
The limited edition DualSense sold out quickly in the UK. Still, models might come back in stock if pre-orders are canceled.
£69.99 at Amazon (out of stock)
Amazon UK had some stock in for the DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition on pre-order day but it's now reading as "currently unavailable." We saw stock pop up a few times throughout that pre-order day, so definitely worth keeping an eye on just in case of more drops.
£69.99 at Game (out of stock)
The game-specialist retailer came good - and then also went out of stock quickly, sadly. Given how popular the controller was and is, we would still keep checking this page, however, as sometimes stock returns.
Check stock at Very
Sadly we didn't see any pre-orders over at Very. This retailer, which is usually a highlight in a major pre-order period, likely won't have stock for this model.
Check stock at Currys
Currys also missed out on the Limited Edition DualSense. The retailer did not offer pre-orders, but still sells a range of other models at pretty decent prices if you're after an alternative.
Should you pre-order the PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller?
Whether or not you should pre-order the PS5 30th Anniversary DualSense controller is largely going to come down to how much you want to get your hands on this special edition design. If you're particularly wedded to the PlayStation brand or have lots of nostalgia for the gray look of the original PlayStation, then it should definitely be on your radar. It would make for a good collector's item too, as it commemorates an important milestone in the brand's history.
I expect that demand for this controller to remain very high compared to previous releases. This means that it is likely to sell out quickly whenever it becomes available and locking down a pre-order might be your best shot at ensuring that you do get one.
That said, if you're happy with your current DualSense or don't like the design, then you can avoid the stress of the pre-order rush. There's also a slim chance that this model will be more widely available in the future due to potential restocks, which might cut out the need for a pre-order, though this has not been officially confirmed yet.
