Recommended Yi Seong-Gye Talent Tree
Rally Build
Yi Seong-Gye has some magnificent talents that are accompanied by excellent skills, the next build will be dedicated to Rally mainly.
As an Archer commander he has a very high damage, we could say that one of the highest in the game thanks to his skill “Destiny”. When attacking an enemy Rally or any defense such as Fortress, Flag or City, YSG is excellent thanks to its definitive “Arrow Storm” that increases its active skill damage and its AOE becomes circular, damaging and causing casualties to all those enemies that are approach or want to reinforce these structures. The flags and fortresses that we attack will mostly be defended by Infantry units, these are weak against the attack of the archers, so the more skill damage and Rage regeneration we have, our damage will be more and more accurate.
As any archer commander will be stopped by units and Cavalry commanders, his defenses and health are quite low compared to other units in the game, Yi Seong-Gye is no exception to this rule, therefore, we must know how to accompany him with the best troops, best pairing and talents lethal to the enemy, they must feel the power of your bow:
Garrison Talents
- This time we will not use any of the talents of “Garrison”
Skill Talents
- Heraldic Shield: Reduces skill damage taken by 6%. Any damage reduction we have will be good for our battles, it will make us much more resistant.
- Burning Blood: Normal attacks grant an additional 9 rage. Excellent for the reuse of our active skill during any combat.
- Tactical Mastery: Increases active skill damage by 3%. Talent for our damage skill increase.
- All for One: After the primary commander uses a skill, active skill damage of the secondary commander is increased by 6%. Any commander secondary to Yi Seong-Gye will have a skill damage buff. Great talent.
- Latent Power: Enhanced additional skill damage by 6%. “Latent Power” + “Tactical Mastery” = +9% additional skill damage.
- Clarity: After using an active skill, increases skill damage by 6% for the next 6 seconds. With this talent we must be smart when applying it, YSG when using its active skill, during the next 6 seconds this damage per skill will be improved + 6%, to take advantage of this talent we need to quickly regenerate Rage so we will have this improvement over and over again.
- Rejuvenate: Instantly restores 60 rage whenever a skill is used. Excellent talent to continue taking advantage of “Clarity” during battle.
- Feral Nature: Normal attacks have a 10% chance to grant an additional 100 rage. Although it is a probability, it has a lot of importance in the YSG attacks, “Rain Arrow” will be more continuous quickly causing many casualties to our enemies.
Archer Talents
- Arrows Nocked: When the army led by this commander has been reduced to 50% strength, increases all attack troops by 9%. YSG will not be easily defeated, it will be better to fight than to flee.
- Rapid Fire: Increases normal attack damage of all troops led by this commander by 1.5%.
- Armed and Armored: Increases health of archer units by 3%. Our archers will be much more resistant.
- Thumb Ring: Archer units led by this commander deal an additional 9% damage to infantry units. Archers are the weakness of any infantry army, with this extra damage they will suffer even more the power of YSG.
- Razor Sharp: Grants an additional 9 rage after launching a normal attack. Rage, Rage, Rage!
- Venomous Sting: Increases active skill damage of primary and secondary commanders by 8%. “Latent Power” + “Tactical Mastery” + “Clarity” + “Destiny” (Passive Skill) = 73% Additional Skill Damage. Incredible!
Yi Seong-Gye in this build will have his active ability as his main combat weapon. These talents will increase the damage and regeneration of Rage to be able to quickly reach any enemy and cause multiple losses. It is an excellent build that we dedicate to direct attacks on structures or enemies in Rally and thanks to its constant effectiveness we will be witnessing a tireless damage commander, launching again and again his powerful “Rain of Arrow”.
Open Field Build
We will target YSG’s Archer + Skill talents precisely. These talents are very effective in Open Field, we gain much more damage stats for our archers by increasing their DPS and making them more effective against the Infantry.
When choosing between the builds, we must be sure what function our Yi Seong-Gye will fulfill on the battlefield. Both are magnificent for war, if we want to enhance our active ability attacking structures it is advisable to select the previous build so we cause much more damage, but only depending on the skills, the normal attacks of YSG will be less effective, but if we want to maintain a commander a lot more leader, who can incorporate and improve the statistics of his troops in addition to increasing his attack in Open Field, this is the absolute build:
Garrison Talents:
- This time we will not use any of the talents of “Garrison”.
Skill Talents
- Heraldic Shield: Reduces skill damage taken by 6%. In open field we will have much more resistance against skills of enemy commanders.
- Burning Blood: Normal attacks grant an additional 9 rage. ¡RAGE!
- Tactical Mastery: Increases active skill damage by 3%. ¡Excelente! + DPS.
- All for One: After the primary commander uses a skill, active skill damage of the secondary commander is increased by 6%. YSG with this talent improves the active skill of its secondary commander in damage.
- Latent Power: Enhanced additional skill damage by 6%. “Latent Power” + “Tactical Mastery” = +9% additional skill damage.
- Clarity: After using an active skill, increases skill damage by 6% for the next 6 seconds.
- Rejuvenate: Instantly restores 60 rage whenever a skill is used. Excellent talent to continue taking advantage of “Clarity” during battle.
Archer Talents
- Arrows Nocked: When the army led by this commander has been reduced to 50% strength, increases all attack troops by 9%. By losing 50% of our troops, we will gain 9% damage in the remaining ones, thus balancing our attack-loss.
- Rapid Fire: Increases normal attack damage of all troops led by this commander by 1.5%. Good.
- Armed and Armored: Increases health of archer units by 3%. Our archers will be much more resistant.
- Thumb Ring: Archer units led by this commander deal an additional 9% damage to infantry units. YSG will be unstoppable when facing commanders and infantry units.
- Venomous Sting: Increases active skill damage of primary and secondary commanders by 8%. “Latent Power” + “Tactical Mastery” + “Clarity” + “Destiny” (Passive Skill) = 73% Additional Skill Damage.
- Phoenix–Tail Arrows: When the army led by this commander contains only archer units, normal attacks have a 10% chance to trigger an additional attack (Damage Factor 200) on target. Good talent, direct damage per probability that increases our DPS in open field.
- Whistling Arrows: When the army led by this commander contains only archer units, normal attacks have a 10% chance to increase all damage dealt by 25% for the next 2 seconds. If luck accompanies us with this probability, YSG will defeat enemies much faster.
During the combats in Open Field Yi Seong-Gye is one of the best commanders if he is accompanied correctly by commanders and troops, his DPS as an archer is great, even with the correct technologies and advantages we can defeat the strongest of our adversaries. This build improves our direct damage and makes our archers more resistant.
Important Note
As primary commander Yi Seong-Gye has “Garrison” talents, however, it is not advisable to keep him defending any structure or city. Being an archer commander we will have under our command units with less Defense and Resistance than the rest, as well as Talents and skills that will not help improve these statistics either, enemies leading cavalry in Rally will cause many losses for the YSG defenses, this will not be the best primary commander to defend those attacks. Our goal of keeping him as the primary commander is not to orient YSG towards his Defensive form, quite the contrary, he is an offensive commander who benefits at all times from his excellent skill damage and rapid Rage regeneration.
His defensive skill “Joseon Dynasty” is very effective when defending garrison but let’s give it the secondary roll whenever we protect a structure, for primary we need a much more resistant and defensive commander.
Therefore, both builds are dedicated to raising our commander’s DPS through their talents to make this an excellent primary leader.
